These terms govern your use of Divine Tuition's tutoring services, our website at divinetuition.co.uk, and our online dashboard at dashboard.divinetuition.co.uk (together, the "Services"). By booking a session, purchasing a package, creating a dashboard account, or otherwise using any part of the Services, you agree to these terms. Divine Tuition is operated by Divyan Ranjithakumar.
Divine Tuition provides online tutoring, university application guidance, personal statement feedback, mock interview practice, entrance exam preparation, and related educational support services as described on our website. All sessions are delivered via video call. We reserve the right to modify the services we offer, though any changes to a package you have already purchased will not reduce the scope of what was agreed.
Divine Tuition is an educational guidance service. We share advice, strategies, and feedback based on our tutors' own experience of the university admissions process and their academic subjects. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including but not limited to: admission to any university, college, or course; specific grades or examination results; a particular score on any admissions test; success at interview; or any other academic or application-related outcome.
Our advice is based on each tutor's personal experience and reasonable judgement. It may not always be correct, complete, or applicable to every applicant's circumstances. University admissions criteria, examination formats, and course requirements change, and we may not always have the most current information at the time of your session.
By using our services, you acknowledge that:
Tutors engaged by Divine Tuition are current Cambridge University undergraduates. They are not qualified teachers, professional career advisors, or accredited educational consultants. Their expertise comes from recent personal experience of the admissions process and their academic studies. This is part of what makes the service valuable, but it also means our guidance should be treated as informed peer support rather than professional advice.
To use certain features of the Services, you may need to create a dashboard account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you. You must notify us immediately at hello@divinetuition.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
The dashboard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may suspend, restrict, or withdraw access to the dashboard, in whole or in part, at any time, including for maintenance, security, or technical reasons, with or without notice, and we will not be liable for any resulting loss or inconvenience.
You retain ownership of any documents, drafts, or other materials you upload to the dashboard ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you, such as enabling your tutor to review and comment on it.
You warrant that Your Content is your own original work (or that you have the right to submit it), does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party, and does not breach any academic integrity, plagiarism, or examination-board policy applicable to you. You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or liability arising from Your Content or from your breach of this warranty, as set out in section 11.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any application materials you submit to a university, school, examination board, or other institution comply with that institution's own rules on originality, collaboration, and permitted external assistance. We accept no liability for any consequence, including disciplinary action or withdrawal of an offer, arising from your submission of materials that were reviewed, edited, or informed by our feedback.
While we take reasonable steps to back up data stored in the dashboard, we do not guarantee against loss, corruption, or temporary unavailability of any content, and we recommend you keep your own copies of any documents you upload.
Every new student is entitled to a free 20-minute consultation call before booking any paid sessions.
Payment is required before sessions commence. Single sessions are paid in advance. Packages may be paid in full at the time of booking. We do not take payment directly through our website or dashboard; instead, we send you a secure payment link generated by Stripe, typically by email, and all payments are processed by Stripe. We are not responsible for delays, losses, or errors arising from email delivery failures, spam filtering, or the security of your own email account. Only make payment through links sent from our official email address — we will never ask you to pay by any other method.
Prices are listed on our pricing page and are in pounds sterling (GBP). We reserve the right to change prices, but any price change will not affect packages already purchased.
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit the session. Repeated late cancellations (three or more) may result in a requirement to prepay for future sessions.
If a tutor needs to cancel a session, we will offer a rescheduled session at a mutually convenient time or a full refund for that session.
Refunds for single sessions are available if requested before the session takes place. After a session has been delivered, no refund is available.
If you wish to discontinue a package after it has begun, we will refund the unused sessions at the single-session rate. The sessions already used will be charged at the applicable single-session rate, and the remainder refunded. This means the per-session discount applies only to completed packages.
Example: if you purchase the Oxbridge Core (12 sessions at £35 = £420) and use 4 sessions before discontinuing, those 4 sessions are charged at £45 each (= £180). The refund would be £420 - £180 = £240.
We match students with tutors based on subject, exam requirements, and learning needs. If you are not satisfied with your tutor match, you may request a change at no additional cost. We will accommodate changes subject to tutor availability.
We expect mutual respect in all interactions between students, parents, and tutors. We reserve the right to discontinue services if a student or parent behaves in a way that is abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate, including misuse of the dashboard such as attempting to access another user's account or data without authorisation. In such cases, unused sessions will be refunded per the policy in section 6.
Materials created by Divine Tuition tutors during sessions or provided through the dashboard (notes, feedback, resources) are provided for the student's personal educational use only. They may not be reproduced, shared, or sold without our written permission. Ownership of materials you upload to the dashboard is addressed in section 3.4.
As set out in section 2.2, we do not guarantee any specific academic or admissions outcome. A student's results depend on many factors outside our control, including their own preparation, their school's support, the decisions of university admissions tutors, and examination conditions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Divine Tuition's total liability to you in connection with any claim arising from the use of our services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to: loss of a university place, loss of earnings, loss of data, disappointment, or any costs incurred as a result of acting on advice given during sessions or through the dashboard. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information shared during sessions, on our website, and through the dashboard is accurate and current. However, university admissions processes, test formats, deadlines, and entry requirements change frequently, and we cannot guarantee that every piece of information is up to date at the time of delivery. Students should verify critical information against official university and UCAS sources.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: (a) unauthorised access to your dashboard account, except to the extent caused by our own negligence; (b) interruption, suspension, or unavailability of the dashboard; (c) loss or corruption of data or content stored in the dashboard, except to the extent caused by our own negligence; or (d) the acts, omissions, downtime, or security practices of third-party providers we use to deliver the Services, including Stripe, our dashboard hosting and authentication providers, and any video-conferencing platform we use to deliver sessions.
Except as expressly stated in these terms, the Services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Divine Tuition and Divyan Ranjithakumar from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these terms; (b) your misuse of the Services or the dashboard; (c) Your Content, as defined in section 3.4; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. This does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet or power outages, third-party service failures (including Stripe, video-conferencing, or hosting providers), acts of God, illness, or other unforeseeable events. Where such an event prevents a booked session from taking place, we will offer a rescheduled session or refund in accordance with section 5.
Students receiving Free School Meals (FSM) or Pupil Premium are entitled to a 25% discount on all packages and single sessions. Verification is required in the form of a school confirmation letter or equivalent documentation.
International students experiencing financial hardship are welcome to contact us to discuss reduced-rate arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
Providing false documentation to obtain a discount may result in termination of services and recovery of the discount amount.
Your personal data, including anything you provide through the dashboard, is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Divine Tuition regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms at any time does not waive our right to enforce that or any other provision later.
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these terms, for example if the business is sold, restructured, or incorporated. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent.
We may update these terms from time to time. Active clients will be notified of significant changes by email. Continued use of our services after changes are communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
