Divine Tuition is an online tutoring service operated by Divyan Ranjithakumar. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller. This Privacy Policy applies to our main website at divinetuition.co.uk and to our online dashboard at dashboard.divinetuition.co.uk (together, the "Services"), and covers all personal data we collect through either of them. We will never share your data with other tutoring agencies, educational institutions, or marketing companies. Where a third-party processor handles data on our behalf, we take reasonable steps to ensure they offer an appropriate level of protection, and our liability in connection with their acts or omissions is limited as set out in our Terms of Service, to the extent permitted by law.
We do not take card payments directly through our website or dashboard. Instead, we send you a secure payment link generated by Stripe, typically by email. When you follow that link, you are taken to Stripe's own checkout page, and any card or bank details you enter are received and processed directly by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy. We receive only confirmation of payment status, the amount paid, and a Stripe-generated reference — we do not receive or store your full card or bank details. Please only make payment through links sent from our official email address; we will never ask you to pay by any other method or to share full card details with us directly.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your dashboard account and the information stored in it, including access controls and encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You are responsible for keeping your dashboard login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at hello@divinetuition.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Some of the third-party providers we use, including Stripe and our dashboard hosting infrastructure, may store or process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection is in place, such as reliance on providers certified under recognised data protection frameworks, or the use of Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
We retain your personal data, including documents uploaded to the dashboard, for as long as necessary to provide our services and for up to 24 months after your last session or dashboard activity, or until your account is closed, whichever is later. Financial records are retained for 6 years in accordance with HMRC requirements. You can request deletion of your data, including uploaded documents, at any time, subject to any legal or accounting retention requirements we must comply with.

Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality. Our dashboard uses essential session and authentication cookies (or equivalent local storage) necessary to keep you securely logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on either the website or the dashboard.
Many of our students are under 18. Where a student is under 16, we require parental consent before collecting and processing their data, including before creating a dashboard account or accepting document uploads on their behalf. Parents and guardians can contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete their child's information, including anything stored in the dashboard.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email to active clients. The latest version will always be available on this page.
